Our mission is to foster collaboration among medical student-run free clinics across Chicagoland to enhance the quality of care for our patients by promoting best practices, sharing resources, and building community.
WHAT WE DO
We hold events around the year in order to bring together Consortium members across Chicago. These events feature speakers with expertise in administration required for running a free clinic.

The Chicagoland Free Clinics Consortium comprises free clinics run by medical students across the Chicagoland area.
Pritzker School of Medicine - The University of Chicago
Bridgeport Free Clinic provides medical care for the uninsured community of Bridgeport, where 35% of the population is Asian and, of the 22% uninsured in the community area, the largest proportion (28%) is of Asian descent.

Chicago Youth Programs Pediatric Clinic

CYP Pediatric Clinic works to provide quality care to the families of Chicago Youth Programs and foster children every Tuesday night.

Chinatown Free Clinic
Feinberg School of Medicine - Northwestern University
The mission of the Chinatown Free Clinic, in partnership with the Chinatown community and Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association (CCBA), is to provide accessible, quality healthcare for the underserved in Chinatown in a respectful environment while students, health care professionals, patients, and community members learn from one another.

Clinic at Franciscan House of Mary and Joseph
Rush Medical College
Our mission is to provide quality basic medical care for residents of the Franciscan House of Mary and Joseph Shelter while connecting them with long term medical care. We want to lower the barriers to finding consistent medical care for those in the shelter system in Chicago. We work with homeless people who make use of the shelter system here in Chicago. Patients must be residing in the Franciscan House of Mary and Joseph to access the clinic at this time.

CommunityHealth Clinic
Loyola University of Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine
The CommunityHealth Clinic (CHC) is the largest free clinic in the nation. As a Chicago-based medical home for Illinois' uninsured and underserved, the organization offers its patients free primary and specialty care, diagnostic lab testing and medications as well as a range of educational and social services. Loyola’s chapter of CHC was founded to support the organization by providing a student-led clinic on Monday nights in the West Town clinic that provides primary care services to patients.

CommunityHealth Clinic - Endocrinology
Feinberg School of Medicine - Northwestern University
Our mission is to provide free endocrinology care to the CommunityHealth patient population and provide early exposure to endocrinology for medical students.
We primarily serve uninsured patients, who can get an appointment by phone or walk-in.

Rush Medical College
The Community Health Clinic is a non-profit volunteer organization providing free preventive and primary health care services to members of the community who cannot afford or are ineligible for medical insurance, often low-income, uninsured adults. The clinic offers services including routine physicals, immunization programs, and a full laboratory and pharmacy. Additionally, CHC hosts several patient education classes and over 20 different specialty clinics.

The mission of CommunityHealth is to serve those without essential health care. CommunityHealth is dedicated to serving the uninsured and underserved in Chicago and surrounding communities. Patients get appointments by walk-in, and registration and intake must be completed in person at CommunityHealth.

The Interprofessional Community Clinic, in partnership with the community, provides accessible, quality healthcare for the underserved in a respectful environment in which students, health professionals, patients, and community members learn from one another by working together interprofessionally. We target the Lake County uninsured population, and many of our patients are Latino.

New Life Volunteering Society

Our mission is to serve those in need through community service, education, and health care with an ultimate goal of achieving peace, love, and happiness amongst the community at the local, regional, national, and global levels. We mostly serve South East Asian, but we do not specifically target them. We welcome everyone and are looking to expand our patient population.

RCSIP Clinic at Haymarket Center
Rush Medical College
Haymarket Center is a residential treatment facility that provides comprehensive care for rehabilitating men and women. The center has 400 beds and serves over 18,000 residents of Illinois every year. The RCSIP clinic at Haymarket provides free primary healthcare for the men and women staying within the facility. Rush student and clinician (physician, nurse practitioner, physician’s assistant) volunteers provide focused intake physicals, basic treatments, health education, and referrals. Select over-the-counter and prescription medications are given free of charge. Rush clinic volunteers work closely with the staff at Haymarket who schedule our patients and help with administrative issues. Rush volunteers prioritize dignifying, validating patient care as we seek to understand the complexity of substance use.

Student Run Free Clinic at Community Health
The University of Illinois College of Medicine
The Student Run Free Clinic aims to provide volunteering and educational opportunities for its students while working in affiliation with CommunityHealth to deliver comprehensive, high-quality, patient-centered health care at no cost to low-income, uninsured individuals in need of a medical home.

Washington Park Clinic
Pritzker School of Medicine - The University of Chicago
Washington Park Clinic is a pediatric free clinic located a few miles west of University of Chicago campus. Currently in its 15th year of operation, WPC aims to offer uninsured and underinsured children on the South Side of Chicago a point of entry for medical care and vaccinations. By offering a point of entry for a first clinic visit, WPC can then direct families to a Federally Qualified Health Center, where they can find a medical home, continuity of care and further health counseling.
